I have installed JV III several times but when I try to open it, nothing happens except that Windows asks me "Do you accept that this application makes modifications on this computer" (free translation). After that the screen blanks and thats all!

Same problem here. I have uninstalled, re-installed, run the fix portion of the setup program, and done all multiple times. I tried reverting to v1.54, I tried installing both the 32 and 64 bit versions (though my system is 64 bit), and nothing works.

I get one of several results, two of which end up in me having to force the software to shut down.

1. I click the icon and nothing happens.
2. The program pulls up a blank window and hangs until I force it to shut down.
If I then allow windows to search for a solution to the problem...
3. The program loads but none of the controls are usable. I can't load songs, I can't access any menu options, basically nothing works and I have to force it to shut down.

I was ready to punt the whole system and find something else. I have to spend more time trying to get it to work than I spend actually using it. It's such a great platform for practicing with my laptop though.

I uninstalled the program and installed 2.0, which works. See the thread on reverting to 2.0 if you want to keep using it.

I've installed JV III on Win 7 and it works fine for me. I don't get any clicks or pops but there is a small modulation problem. I'm starting to suspect my Behringer USB link as a possible cause. But overall, JV III on Win 7 works a treat for me.

I'm happy for you - do you have Win 7 64 or 32 bit?

I'm running Win 7 64-bit, using 64-bit ASIO drivers.
