I want to play through direct sound, however no matter what i do i cant go lower than around 20 milliseconds. This is of course too high to play. If i try going lower then it sounds horrible and robotic weird like it's heavily strained and simply cant do it. If i go even lower it simply doesnt make a sound.
Is this user error or is it because my sound card isnt good enough to handle lower latency?
Im just having a hard time understanding why my computer can handle the jamvox monitor being used at lower latency, yet when i change it to be directly used it can only do it with greater latency than even the jamvox monitor had.
