Hey
I'm thinking of getting either the VOX AC-1, Orange Micro Crush or Fender Mini Tone-Master.
I'm not sure which one to get - I know they're micro-amps, but out of it i want a nice clean with a sexy overdrive (nomnomnom blues).
If anyone can recommend the AC-1 (or any of the others, despite this being a vox forum - lol) that would be great :-)
Thanks
Ive used the AC-1 for over a year now its got nice clean channel and the overdrive channel just rocks blues to metal easy and the built in drum beats are a nice bonus. Lasts forever when using batterys too. Mine dont leave my recliners side lol. Havent tried the others dont need to check one out.
you will have to mic it for gigs though, unless you upgrade the speaker or run two of them in parallel. .
Hahaha, gigging? I'll be using my AC30 :p
Yeah, it seems quite underrated, the demos on Youtube sound quite incredible - but there really isn't many.
The 15R is a bit bigger and has 15 watts, but is an incredibly great amp for the money. . .too bad to put in your overcoat pocket though. but if you are only looking for a small amp for practice to save firing up your ac30, that's the one you want. .
The AC-1 is just about the perfect size for jamming out in your living room without bothering everyone else in the house its really rather loud and the two speakers give it a nice rich sound and for the cash it cant be beat.
