My 30VR doesnt seem to be getting up to this much level of dirt on the clean channel. I bought it October 2011. I'm not sure if anything could have lowered it's crunch??? lol. Seems unlikely? Running a Fender US Standard strat.

Skip to 3:10 to see what I mean.

Can anyone help?

He's using an HSS (humbucker/single/single) Strat. Look carefully at his 5-position p/up selector - at 3:10 you'll notice that he switches to his hot Humbucker bridge p/up which is a lot dirtier. You have a US standard strat with 3 single coil p/ups. That's why!

Ahhh! Thanks Rich, I can't believe I didn't see that LOL!

Just one more quick question. DO you think you could help me with getting the EQ right to get the tone these guys have? He's using an AC30VR as well!

not really I'm afraid, as although I have a US Standard Strat I don't have an AC30VR to experiment with.
