Jamvox audio drivers which one and how to save ?

When i played a track in Jamvox it crackled like mad with static so i went to tools> preferences and changed the driver to Directsound and the input to primary sound driver and it is a lot better but how do i save these changes when i close Jamvox and reopen it reverts back to noisy asio driver and there seems no way to save settings ?

That's odd... FYI JV3 did save my settings when I configured it. As a reference I'm using XP with SP3. Perhaps a reinstall??
