Functionality missing in Version 3 ? « VOX

I have just upgraded to version 3 of Jamvox and cannot find out how to record my guitar without playing along to a song at the same time. It was possible in Version 2 to record just your guitar and then play and record on top - can anyone advise how to do it in version 3 as I cant see a way to do this and the manual does not explain how to (only covers how with with a song).

You need to have a mp3 loaded.

In case you dont have one handy, you can find a one minute silent one here (it' the one I use) :

I agree - this is a key function for me, and is really making me consider going back to v2. While it's not terribly difficult to create a blank file, it seems silly that I should have to do so.
