I have a new AC4c1 on the way. Eventually I'm thinking of getting a alnico speaker for it. Of course I need to try out my new amp first and see how I like the stock speak. Does anyone know if a alnico like the Weber Blue Pup would fit? It looks like the alnico speaker might be a little deeper.

According to the Weber site it should fit with or without the bell cover. I measured the depth to the inside rear of the cabinet and it was close to 7" deep. I ordered a 20watt, 16ohm Blue Pup Alnico version with "light dope" for my AC4C1. This is the same model the guys at Eurotubes and Weber speakers recommended. I can't wait.
The stock model is pretty decent but there is so much more tone to be had.

Had the "Blue Pup"(Alnico version) installed, needed to remove bell cover for it to fit. Another option would be to purchase the ceramic version of the "Pup" if you like a punchier type tone . Alnico model sounds Awesome!

Wow, you got the alnico version to fit? When I did some measuring I didn't think the alnico version would fit so I got the ceramic Blue Pup. I play a Gibson 339 and overall the amp gives me a bit more treble than I would like. A little surprising considering I have humbuckers in my guitar.
