My amp recently stopped making any noise when in use.
But I DO get sound when my headphones are plugged IN. Always.
I tried lifting up the amp and dropping it back down as suggested by another member.
That actually worked momentarily. For about 5 minutes then I lost sound again.
Something is loose I guess. Anyone have any clues as to what it might be?
I'm trying to avoid needlessly poking around with my fingers to see what's loose.
I know you've tried this already but do the spray and clean thing several more times before you give up. The word is that it can take several tries.
The other thing you can try since the whacking seemed to help briefly, is to read this page http://www.voxamps.com/forum/topic.php?id=3716&page=19 and follow the instructions I give for getting rid of snare noise. It may be that you have a faulty connection somewhere and this should fix it, if there is one. While you're in there, you can inspect the solder joints you can see.
Time to poke around, if several more rounds of the spray 'n' clean routine doesn't help.
Obviously you should unplug the amp first.
