Hi good people of the Forum...
I recently purchase the Vox AC30 VR and although i love the sound of it with my various electrics i recently used it at a gig and im not convinced its running on full power....I have a session rockette 30 watt which is half the size with one speaker and its louder! Is anyone else having problems with power, the shop i got it from hasnt got another so i cant run it alongside another one to test....For such a heavy dual speaker 30 watter surely it should be louder than the Vox AC4 tv with i also have.....theres not much in it!!!!
this is my band www.andrewfostermusic.co.uk
excuse my spelling it typed it on my phone!!
The AC30VR I tried was brutally loud...so something is definitely wrong if its not blowing your AC4 out of the water volume wise.
Silly question I know, but have you turned up all of the Volume and Master Volume controls, and the Volume & Gain in the overdrive channel? Assuming you have, I'd take the amp back & get it exchanged because believe me this puppy is seriously LOUD!!

Hi.
Few weeks ago I bought a new AC30VR, and it´s powerful enough and "kicky" sounding.
But it isn´t quite clean. And when I read the manual it is assumed to be so, to "break up"
at higher settings. I´m thinking; can an electric technician "turn something" or replace any
component inside to make the normal ch. sound clean all the way?
What about the speakers? Does the number 80 mean that they are 80 watts each?
Hardly, when thinking about the Greenback´s, as 25watts each.

Hi there, I wondered what the outcome was regarding your volume issues? I've recently bought a 2nd hand ac30vr, gigged it twice with no issues but I too seem to be suffering with lack of volume- the tone also sounds muffled.
Can you or anyone recommend a fix? Cheers in advance
Replace the tube (12AX7). Some last just a few month...
Had the same problem, fixed it the mentioned way. Good luck!
