Amplug Direct to Amp

Does anyone know how to plug an Amplug into an amp and get usable sound out of it. . .this would be like using the Amplug, such as the AC30 amplug, as a pedal to get an AC30 like sound out of your clean amp.

Special cable? Interface box? Would it plug directly into the instrument input? What if there is a selection for low and high?

Does anyone know anything about this? The reason is I have seen several youtube videos where the guitarist has plugged their amplug directly into their recording device and gotten terrific sound.

I want to try that direct to an amp.

I've done it. Once it was into my VT40+ which has a mini stereo input and once into a plain fender with a mini to 1/4 adapter. Worked just fine in both cases. Better make sure that you've got fresh batteries.

Excellent! Thanks for responding, DOCD!!

Did you plug into the regular guitar input on the Fender? Was there enough volume?

How did you like that sound?

I built a simple input/output adapter box, the AC30 amplug connected on the top, just like the vox amplug speaker cabinet.

I plugged in my SG into the adapter and from the out put to a fender valve amp, the sound is awesome.

I think that the guys at Vox should take the exact circuitry from the amplug, and build it into a pedal, a (Vox AC30 pedal) Because I think that the amplug straight into a clean amp sounds that good.
