Hi,
I am running latest JV software & driver on Win7 x64, installed on two high-end machines and both setups having the same problem: Korg EXP-2 expression pedal and Vox VFS-2 footswitch work very inconsistently, as if JV software misses 75% of inputs from those two devices, or reacts with a delay. Expression input sometimes gets picked up 10-15 seconds later. JV software works well otherwise.
The reason I think it's JV problem is because I ran JV software on different systems, used different cables, and both the footwsitch and the pedal have similar issues. I wrote to support@korg.co.uk about the problem about 5 days ago and haven't heard from them.
Will be thankful for any suggestions re: how to resolve the problem.
I have the same problem. Bought the Vox VFS-2 footswitch, works only when it wants to, and that is very seldom.
I have JV installed on 2 systems, both 64 bit windows 7 (home premium) and i only have this problem on 1 of 2 systems. On the small netbook the footpedal works exactly like it should, but on the other system it's just not working right at all. sometimes i have to press 1 twice for it to register, but it'll register it as 2 hits. So effects will be turned on and quickly turned off again. My guess is this was probably an error during the installation of JV or the drivers. I shall try to remove it all on the laptop where the pedal isn't working right, then reinstall everything and see what happens. I'll try and update here after that.
Same problem as the other member posts. I have tried five expression pedals including the EXP-2 and each one exhibits the same inconsistent response. JamVOX calibration of the pedals exhibit the same inconsistency. When using the expression pedal it sometimes shows an editing process other times it does not. This may be my error in failing to save the effect control to the patch. The VOX VFS-2 foot-switch also produces intermittent and inconsistent switching actions.
The software installed well on my i5 win 7 laptop and rarely indicates more than 5% cpu usage. The other features work normally and I have no pops, clicks, or latency problems. The ASIO driver works fine in all my DAW paradigms. This product has good models and play along capabilities with a fairly sophisticated instrument removal feature (as it allows for variable frequency selection as well as precise control over the position of the frequency attenuation in the stereo spread) all of which make it a great bang for the buck.
Whoop dee doo I want the pedal control functions to work smoothly. I will again request VOX support for help on this issue. Come on VOX help us out.
