Is it possible to use headphones with my AC30C2X?
If it is, it would be by plugging them into the external speaker jack, or the Effects Loop out maybe?

HELL NO dude !!! headphones work very differently than a loudspeaker, for starters most are around 32 Ohms and rated in MILLIWATTS = BOOM.

What are you trying to acheive? AN AC30 is not a headphone type of amp, if, for example, you wanted the output at a headphone you could use something like a THD hotplate set in LOAD mode, and run a line out from the Hotplate into an amp with a headphone out. But WHY?

There are far better ways to get some practice in with headphones!

simonnq is right: DO NOT plug headphones into the speaker our or loop. If your desire is quiet practicing or song writing, get yourself an AC30 AMPLUG. For $40 (US) you will get a device that reasonably replicates your AC30. If you do get an AMPLUG, I'm sure we'd all love to hear your comparison between the AMPLUG and the real thing.

I have the Hotplate myself, my AC30 runs at full volume all the time, I use the hotplate to adjust the volume from a whisper to OH MY GOD !!!. I have recorded a couple of youtube clips with this method and they sound pretty dammed good, in fact I have had many messages from people asking what overdrive box I am using, they are all surprised when I tell them that thers is no overdrive box, just the amp on 10 !! hahahahahha.

I can go from silky smooth clean sounds to aggressive overdrive just by using the volume control on the guitar and my pick attack. You can get some quite expressive playing with just the pick attack alone. Sometimes I kick in a compressor pedal for the faster stuff as it restricts the pick attack quite a bit, it takes a wide attack and narrows it into a really narrow band, so every note sounds loud and hence more overdriven.
