Hi all,

I own a Tonelab LE...love the thing. I play a PRS SE through it and get many comments on how wonderful the thing sounds. Perfect for live performance...man oh man!

Anyway, does anyone have any patches to simulate the awesome tone Steve Lukather (from ToTo) gets?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

before modeling amps were popular, i used to emulate him fairly well with stompers. running into a marshall i'd use a compressor, chorus, delay, eq, and a tube screamer for a stomp volume boost. it worked pretty well.

satriani, lukather, vai, et, al, are all very similar in sound with a few tweaks here and there.

if your fingers can play it, then you've got it made even if you play it dry.

Rick : you won't get Luke's soud untill you buy the same gear ; this will cost a lot !!! Bob Bradshaw is not the cheapest, too...
Lukather is my favorite guitar player, and so i love his sound(s) ; i met him last april 23th, in a Musicman showcase! Despite i don't have his talent, i play a lot of ToTo songs, and some Luke's too. SO: i can give you my tone (my gear: Stratocater US, tonelab LE, Power Engine Tech 21).
