I don't know where you were looking but I've found five 10" Alnico's in about 30 seconds by typing in 10" Alnico Blue in Google!

Here's a 10" Alnico Blue Pup 10 from Weber speakers:

http://taweber.powweb.com/weber/blue10a.htm

And a Fender 10" Alnico Blue:
http://angela.com/fenderspeaker108ohm30wattvintagebluealnico.aspx

And Eminence 1028K Legend 10" Alnico
http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=EMILEG102

And Fane Axiom Axa 10 Alnico
http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=FANAXA10

And Redfang Alnico 10"
http://www.usspeaker.com/Red%20Fang10-1.htm

And this discussion re early break-up might be helpful:
http://www.tdpri.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-319606.html

From what I've read, the Weber Pup & the Redfang might be good ones to try at a sensible price. The Weber in particular seems very popular.

I was so excited when I realized i could get the vox 12' blue speaker tone in my 5 watt classic amp by buying a gold 10". But i had reservations all of which were justified. The gold is a superb speaker yes! when paired with amps that can drive them well but for little classic single ended amps, how i dream of a 'mini blue' perhaps only rated at 10 watts which are easy to drive. I like my speakers to be driven to be dynamic and loose like the blue 12 inch can be. What speaker would be better for a small amp? A 'mini 10' blue' could be easily driven at low volume it would have a looser extended bass end which would only benefit the sound of a small one speaker amp. I get seriously disappointed that this product does not exist as the world would be a much more musical place with them!
