Also the Greenback is the perfect speaker for this amp.

I just purchased the AC15C1 and could not be happier, played my first gig at church with it and was pleasantly surprised on how much headroom it has,I also tried the JJ's in it and ended up putting back the stock chinese tubes,JJ's were to harsh and sounded distorted, just goes to show you JJ's are not all they are made out to be.

Hi guys,

Was thinking about pulling the trigger on the new AC15C1, but I was wondering a couple things about it. I know that it's supposed to be an improvement over the previous CC1 models, with easier access to the tubes, two channel inputs, etc.

Will any of the changes make the AC15C1 louder than it's CC1 counterpart? I'm not to familiar with Normal/Top Boost inputs, but will this increase the volume of the amp at all? I'm looking for clean headroom (which I know the Ac15 isn't known for), and I'm just wondering if this will give it a little bit more of a boost. Also, I wasn't sure if the Greenback speaker vs. the Warfdale might help with clean headroom.

Thanks!

you get it new or used? if used, I would suggest testing the cable with a multimeter as I would suspect a busted wire.
