Well, for one thing a lot has happened at Vox since 1993, so I'd like to see that. The History should include everything up until, ya know, last week. The Korg connection, the modelers, not just the 1960s stuff.

I'd like to see a section of the book dedicated to Ritchie Blackmore. He recorded the most famous guitar riff in history, "Smoke on the Water" -as well as most of Deep Purple's albums up to "Burn" almost entirely with a VOX AC30, and no history book about the company has ever mentioned this. I guess it's because he played Marshalls live. But his favourite amp was the AC30 and he tried to modify his Majors to sound more like his VOX.

The history of the company is always about The Shadows, The Beatles, Brian May and The Edge. But Blackmore is arguably one of the most influential and talented guitar players in rock history. What about an interview with pictures of the very little known AC30 he used to record "Machine Head" -now that we are approaching the 40th anniversary of its release?
Just saying... :)

That would be great!

I always enjoy when artists speak of their first time/impressions with a VOX amp or road stories with the amp. If you could include such items, it would be interesting.

Hello everyone,

We're considering publishing a new and updated version of The Vox Story by David Petersen and Dick Denney, and we'd like to know what you think about it! The first edition was published in 1993, and this new edition would be a completely new book. It would contain a Vox history through today, as well as many new images and models produced since 1993. We'd like to know what you'd like to see in this book - pictures, charts, model descriptions, specifications, etc. - please let us know!
