JamVox is the MOST unstable software I ever have used. I've had a computer since 1988 and JamVox since 2008 and I've had all the trouble there is regardless of computer opetating system (PC or MAC). JamVox collapses all the time and during last weeks I have installed driver at least dozen times and still it's unstable. JamVox is a great idea but...

I really hope another update prior 2.01 will come. please guys this is not ok with a software update like this. I donno what i possibly might do wrong but when i bought this i had not in mind that this should be a problem at all.

I just bought this software and installed version 1.0.1 and updated to version 2.01 and same trouble to me. I even have not upgraded to OS X 10-6 on my Mac Pro. Im running OS X 10.5.8 and i get same trouble. It says: "the application JamVox quite unexpectedly" i did not had it connected while updating.
This is huge disappointing getting a new tool which is not running after an update.

I see that its been a while goin on. why is this not fixed?
I'm planning to upgrade to 10.6 but as i have noticed that wont help much.

when will an update come? this is not cool :(

Just downloaded the latest JamVox version and I am getting the same problem no sound from either playing music or from the guitar input, infact although the mixer shows the activity in the music channel there is nothing showing in the guitar channel. HOWEVER I don't have an Apple I am running Win7 32bit. So basically my Jamvox is completely useless. Sorry if my post is in the wrong thread since most of the posts here are Apple.

I bought an iMac. Of course it came with OSX Lion. I installed JamVOX and test that JamVOX don't work. I boot it with the 32 bits kernel keeping keys 3 and 2 pressed a computer start time. JamVOX don't work. Another try - I change the iMac to 32 bits from Terminal and I got message that iMac is in 32-bit Kernel. Restarted the iMac, but JamVOX still don't work.

Now I'm concerning to install bootcamp and Windows Vista there. Does any one have an experience does JamVOX work in bootcamp? I'm really getting frustrated...

Version 1.52 word for me on my MacBook Pro with OSX Lion (10.7). But you have to boot with the 32 bits kernel (just keep keys 3 and 2 pressed at computer start time). Nevertheless, I ma experiencing issues with my jamvox. Even of working it produces many noises when playing notes. It does ont produce such noises if not playing (even if plugged in). It looks like an analog issue on the guitar entry. Did anyone manage to solve this kind of issue ? Thanks for your help.

bluesguitar65, how is JamVox integrated with GarageBand? I don't see any integration... do you mean that you can use JamVox effects or use GXT or both?

Do you know how to get "count in" to the songs? It is really difficult to press play from JamVox and play the guitar at the same time. GarageBand has "count in", so can I some how use it?

I read from somewhere, that you can program Vox A/B switch (VFS-2) to push that play-button, but I don't find the guide how to do it.

BTW, I don't have any issues with iMac and JamVOX.

What was so buggy about the JamVox software? What issues were you getting? I've been using the the JamVox hardware and software 1.52 without any issues for a week now and loving all what I could do with it. I also like the fact that the Jamvox software integrates with garageband easily.

I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones as I had no issue installing JamVox on my Macbook running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with the latest JavVox software 1.52.

Have read all the previous post, it seems everyone is a little disappointed! I lived through the last upgrade too and it took fo-eva!

JV, I wish I could take pity on you this time, however knowing that you have had this issue in the past with previous OS upgrades I can only assume you don't care to plan appropriately for your Mac users. Given the creative nature of Guitar players and Mac users, I assume your demographic skews towards Mac a little heavier than you might think!

I'm on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.6.8, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 with 4GB 1067 Mhz DDR3 memory.

I just brought home a JamVox from my local guitar gear shop here in Seoul, Korea. I bought it on a 50% mark down without knowledge of this issue and was convinced I got a deal on some gear that had some interesting features. After a software install and registration to the Vox forums I learned why my new product emitted static, crackels and pops. I went into my latency setting in my audio/midi setup and moved some settings and things improved (no more constant static) however the loud pops are still there every 4- 5minutes.

This product is rather interesting to experiment with as well as take advantage of some of the really innovative design features. Like all software products however, they tend to get shipped before all of the kinks and bugs are worked out.

For now its novelty has me interested despite the occasional loud pops during playing. I have not recorded yet to see if it is an issue, but will report here again after I do so.

This forum is rather loud and has some typical Mac users registering complaints. I'm guessing Vox's engineers are having difficulty getting the right info from Apple to make the fix seeing how Apple now has more cash that the Federal Reserve. Easy to ignore the small fry....
