im trying to decide if jam vox could be the answer to improve my home guitar recordings, cause now im using only an acid pro software, because it is friendly and easy to use and also i need to send via mail the recordings i made to the rest of my band partners, that use the acid pro software in order to add keyboards, bass, percussion and voice to the tracks i send. Im talking about compatibilty with Acid Pro because there is no doubt that Jam Vox its fun, but i need to make my guitar sounds more pro, in terms of digital recording with less annoying noises, because i using effects from my Vox amp and Vox pedals that i have, im telling this because i really love the Vox sound, i make nice live sesions with my gear, and its exiting for me think that i can record the same i get with my gear but now directly in the computer, so the only thing i need to know now, if i can editing and mixing the tracks made in the Jam Vox into the Acid Pro Software and send them all that to my friends in rar archives.
God Bless you all...
Thank You.

I just bought myself a new computer, but there is one problem, when i installed Jamvox, my computer got a memory
leak.
And when I uninstalled JAMVOX the memory leak "dissapeared" . So obvously it's Jamvox causing the memory leak.
What this leak does is that it makes my computer run out of memory and it eventually crashes.
This is really ennoying because I can't play guitar atm!!!
Any ideas that might help?

I've got the newest version of JAMVOX, on a hp laptop, Windows 7.

Thanks.

I have heard that the update to version 1.5 has been a great one. I bought my jamvox about a month ago and have been using it every day to teach guitar lessons. I have to say that the hardware is amazing for the price. I'm very satisfied. The drivers however are abysmal. I have followed many of the guidelines for setting up the unit to work without pops and clicks. I have it running pretty good in that regards, not perfect though. On the other hand my computer has locked up many times since using it. There is also a memory leak. I was running it the other night and I got an error message when I tried to open google chrome.

Anyway, overall I'm pretty happy with this unit. I wish Vox would step up and create some better drivers though. They are just plain buggy.

Okay, I admit Im not much of a computer geek, I got the program up, I tried a few guitar sounds with success now I'll be darnd if I can get a song to play. In step 2 of the instruction book #1 add song data from your computer to the library by dragging and dropping it into the main list.

What exactly does that mean? I know how to drag something, but where am I dragging a song from? I made a short cut and put one on my desk top and dragged it to the list but it does not appear. So I gave up trying to put a song in for now until I can learn how.

Next, I cant go to #2 of Step 2 so I tried to just play anything that is on the library list. I doubble click a selection but nothing plays, I did not have my guitar plugged in, does it have to be for a song just to play? So how do I get any song to play?

I also would like to know where I can find songs to add from on line, 90% of the stuff on the list & dic's I dont want. Do I have to buy them? Are there any free sites?

That all for now, Thanks for any help.

I just downloaded JamVox but it states in release notice that you must have the monitor in order to run the software.

I have visited every store in the Raleigh area, and none have JamVox installed to audition. Without the monitor, is there any means of running the software without the monitor? Can i set up a memory stick with the USB drivers for JamVox to open the software?

I;m not a crook, I don;t want to steal the software, I just want to see it before i purchase it.

I just got my new jamvox software and monitor and let me first say that I am having a ton of fun with it. This is a very useful tool for any guitarist. I am having one issue, however; with playback sound of my recordings. I've searched the forum for possible answers but I am unable to find any info.

The sound in general is great. I've been able to make adjustments to minimize clicks and pops but when I record the play back sounds nothing like what came out of the monitor when I played. It is distorted and it sounds as if there are multiple guitars when it is only one. Kind of like an echo. Now I am using an echo/delay effect but this is different. Any ideas as to why this may be happening?

I just got this jamvox and installed it for the first time, I only get to step 4 in the "install software" instructions until I get to "install the jamvox USB driver, click install", then I get the message "jamvox USB installation failed". The software is version 1.0 that came with the unit. Do I need the 1.50 version? If so do I need to uninstall this version first?
